KARINA
GUSALOVA

JIVAMUKTI YOGA, YIN YOGA

Karina is a certified Advanced Jivamukti Yoga teacher (800h), mentor and facilitator for 75h teacher trainings, and mentor for 300h and 500h Jivamukti Yoga teacher trainings.
Born in Latvia and having lived in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, she now considers Barcelona home. Teaching the Jivamukti method since 2012, Karina integrates yogic philosophy, conscious movement, and work with the physical and energetic body into her classes, creating a space for self-exploration, growth, and inner connection.
Her teaching, characterized by rhythm, grace, and a deeply human presence, invites each practitioner to discover their limitless potential through a dynamic and meditative practice.
Beyond being a yoga student, Karina has another passion: the world of therapy. She is trained as a Gestalt therapist and integrates therapeutic approaches into her workshops and classes. Yoga and Gestalt therapy share several deep foundations, although they come from different traditions: one more body-based and spiritual, the other psychological and humanistic. Both support her in her own life and in guiding students inward.

JOSE
CARBALLAL

YOGA AND MENTAL HEALTH, ASHTANGA YOGA, WORKSHOPS

He began practising yoga in 2000, looking for tools to cope with anxiety and improve his posture. After exploring different styles, he discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2001 and, in 2002, travelled to Mysore for the first time, where he met his teacher, Sharath Jois, with whom he studied regularly until his passing.
His teacher considered him ready to teach the Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Together with his practice partner Rafa Martínez, he shares this method and supports his students in their processes of practice and transformation at Mysore House Madrid, alongside a wonderful team of teachers whom they have trained.
His deep interest in and commitment to processes of mental transformation and the spiritual path have led him to undertake a long-term therapeutic process, allowing him to deepen his self-understanding, something he considers fundamental on this path.
He has trained in Gestalt Therapy and Trauma, bringing a deeper understanding of mental and emotional processes into his teaching. His main interest in teaching Ashtanga Yoga is to support a profound transformation in each person, enabling them to meet life with greater awareness and cultivate a form of happiness that is less literal, but more grounded and lasting.

RODRIGO
SOUZA

ACCESSIBLE AND ADAPTIVE YOGA

Rodrigo Souza (he/him) is an internationally recognised Accessible and Adaptive Yoga teacher, educator, and disability advocate dedicated to creating a more inclusive and human approach to yoga.
A wheelchair user following a spinal cord injury, Rodrigo’s relationship with yoga became a journey of returning home to his body — an experience that continues to shape the way he teaches, mentors, and advocates for greater accessibility in yoga spaces.
Through Allihopa Yoga and his Brazilian initiative Lhe Tenho Amor, Rodrigo teaches students with diverse bodies and lived experiences and trains yoga teachers and healthcare professionals to facilitate practices rooted in dignity, autonomy, belonging, and care. He also serves as a mentor and training facilitator with the Accessible Yoga School.
In 2026, Rodrigo was recognised by Yoga Journal USA as one of eight yoga teachers shaping the future of yoga.
At the heart of his work is a simple belief: yoga does not belong to one kind of body. It is a practice of belonging — and every body deserves to feel that they are welcome.
Beyond teaching postures, Rodrigo dedicates his life to transforming how we understand yoga: not as a practice reserved for a few, but as a path of care, belonging, and freedom for every body.

MARTA
CARRASCAL

YOGA TEACHER

She graduated in Psychology and specialized in Gestalt Therapy and Psychopharmacology of Addictions. In the same year she graduated, she travelled to India for the first time to take part in a volunteering project, an experience that changed the course of her life. It was during this journey that she took her first yoga class and spent a month at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. Since then, she has continued her training and learning.
Following this experience came relocations, a change of profession, travels across Asia and Peru, training with different teachers, hours devoted to practice, encounters with wonderful people, and the challenges of life’s crises and questions.
Since 2011, she has dedicated herself exclusively to teaching yoga. Her training has evolved through the meeting of psychology, embodiment, neuroscience, yoga philosophy and contemplative practices.
In recent years, her interest has focused particularly on Yoga Nidrā. She firmly believes in everything that frees us from the inertia of everyday life and in the transformative power of disciplines that foster compassionate introspection. Through what she shares, she aspires to be a companion to those navigating life’s changes and journeys, who, like her, seek to live and dream wide awake.

Originally from Rome, Candida has practiced yoga and meditation for 20 years with renowned teachers from different traditions. She has spent long periods studying, on retreat, and in service in Buddhist monasteries, Hindu ashrams, and Christian communities, cultivating a broad perspective –both contemplative and active– on the spiritual path.

ADRIANA
JARRÍN

PHD IN ANTHROPOLOGY, ONCOLOGY YOGA, WORKSHOPS

For Adriana, yoga is a journey of inner transformation that, when shared with others, allows us to awaken a sense of meaning in life. She discovered this path more than 20 years ago, while undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. From then on, yoga offered her a new way of looking at life, as well as tools to navigate it with greater serenity.
Alongside her career as an anthropologist, working in international cooperation and research, she trained in different branches of yoga in various parts of the world. Over time, she felt called to share what she had received and specialised in therapeutic, prenatal and postnatal yoga, and later in Yoga for the Cancer Patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and Rādika Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.
Her own experience with illness, together with her work accompanying others, gave rise to the Yoga Oncology methodology. In 2021, she launched the first Spanish-language training programme together with the Rādika Foundation and, a year later, founded the International Yoga Oncology Network, now present in 14 countries. Through the Network, she provides ongoing training and develops yoga programmes in public hospitals.
Through yoga, she discovered that accompanying others is the dharma that defines her path, and that within community lie the strength to create change and the spirit of hope.

CLEM
GENET

HATHA YOGA, YIN YOGA, INCLUSIVE YOGA

Clem came to yoga over ten years ago, with a damaged relationship with her body and the conviction that she needed to change in order to fit in. For a long time, her practice was driven by self-demand, comparison and the need to prove something.
The philosophy of yoga and feminism transformed her perspective. The concept of mokṣa, liberation, invited her to question the attachments and ideas that shape and constrain our existence. Feminism and queer thought gave her tools to challenge gender norms, question body ideals and make visible the capitalist power structures that sustain systemic inequalities and oppression. She understands liberation as both an individual and a collective process.
Her mission is to bring yoga and feminism into dialogue from a critical perspective, exploring both their contributions and their contradictions.
Trained in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Inclusive Yoga, she brings together tradition and critical thinking. Music, present throughout every stage of her journey, is an essential part of the way she shares yoga.
She runs Morada, a feminist, queer and inclusive studio in Puerta del Ángel, Madrid, and leads Casa Morada, her digital platform. In 2026, she also completed the first edition of TYG Academy’s «Yoga for Change» training programme.
