SARAH
FLORANCE
HATHA-VINYASA YOGA, SOUND BATHS, WORKSHOPS
English by birth, Sarah has lived half of her life in Barcelona. She began her practice in 2002 and has deepened her studies with internationally recognised teachers such as David Swenson, Petri Räisänen, Manju Pattabhi Jois, John Scott and Mark Robberds, among others. Since 2017, she has co-directed and taught 200-hour teacher trainings, as well as courses, retreats and workshops.
Sarah guides, teaches, connects and hopes to inspire from a deeply rooted place of self-knowledge and experience. What inspires her most is the connection that is created between practitioner and teacher, based on a true and genuine relationship, face to face, heart to heart.
For her, practice becomes a valuable tool for creating a space to pause, reconnect and return to the present moment in a world that moves too fast. Through asana, her intention is to enter a state of moving meditation.
Energetic connection and the possibility of feeling the body on a much subtler level are also fundamental to the way she understands practice. For this reason, she has incorporated sound sessions as a way of exploring the deeper layers of being, beyond the physical body.

RAFA
ALCARAZ
ASHTANGA YOGA, NEUROSCIENCE, WORKSHOPS
Rafa came to Ashtanga Yoga 22 years ago, drawn in by something that could be felt in the room: a silence and a respect that fostered a connection with oneself, a form of spiritual nourishment he felt starved of and that his soul was crying out for. Today, he is authorized by Sharath Jois to teach Ashtanga Yoga and Active Series, and co-directs Mysore House Madrid with Jose Carballal.
He has studied Lifestyle Medicine and trained in the neuroscience of breathing and meditation, trauma, and end-of-life accompaniment. He is passionate about building bridges between Eastern and Western perspectives: in the way he understands and shares yoga, practice on the mat, scientific evidence, and psychotherapy are brought into dialogue.
He believes in the presence of the sacred in the ordinary, in each of us and in each of our actions, and is convinced that cultivating kindness, listening, and compassion is the only way forward we have as a species. In his classes, he brings out each student’s strengths and encourages commitment to practice and self-care, without losing sight of the fact that relaxation, enjoyment, and laughter are also essential.
He lives and teaches in Madrid with Jose and their two dogs, Chai and Balboa, who have changed his life so profoundly.

AGUSTÍN
BURTON
SOMATIC YOGA, TRAUMA-SENSITIVE YOGA, WORKSHOPS
Journalist and certified 500H yoga teacher. His path in yoga began more than ten years ago in Argentina, during a time of personal crisis that led him to seek tools for reconnection and inner listening. From the very first practice, he experienced a deep and unfamiliar sense of calm, and over time yoga became not only a discipline, but a way of inhabiting the body and life.
In 2016, he completed his professional training in Vinyasa Yoga in Barcelona and deepened his path through Jivamukti, Yin, Rocket, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. He has facilitated hundreds of classes, courses, workshops, and retreats in Spain and Italy, and has worked as a trainer and tutor in various teacher trainings.
In parallel, Agustín researches neuroscience and contemporary studies on the body, mind, and emotional regulation, integrating this knowledge into his teaching. He is currently developing Sālaka Yoga, a Somatic Yoga method focused on self-knowledge, inner perception, and the body’s capacity for self-regulation, through which he offers trainings and courses, both online and in person. His purpose is to create safe and transformative spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies, learn to listen to and regulate them, cultivating a kinder relationship with themselves and with the world.
