Located in the geographical centre of Menorca, Alaior is a peaceful town that preserves the essence of traditional Menorcan life. With just over ten thousand inhabitants, it is especially renowned as one of the main producers of Mahón-Menorca Protected Designation of Origin cheese and for its long-standing tradition of artisan ice cream making.

Its town centre, dominated by the Church of Santa Eulàlia, invites visitors to stroll at a leisurely pace through whitewashed streets, shaded squares and historic buildings.

The surrounding area is home to some of the island’s most important Talayotic archaeological sites, most notably Torre d’en Galmés, the largest prehistoric settlement in Menorca and one of the jewels of Mediterranean archaeological heritage.
